Celebrated since 1994, World Teachers' Day was created by UNESCO and is held each year on October 5 to celebrate teachers globally. It is an opportunity to celebrate how teachers are transforming education as well as an opportunity to reflect on how we can better support their work.
Every day, teachers across Christ the Teacher Catholic Schools support the students we serve in building the skills they need to reach their full potential in school and in life.
This year, the Canadian Teachers' Federation theme is "Thank You for Brightening our Future."
Thank you to all CTTCS teachers and educators as we celebrate World Teachers' Day for all the work you do to fulfil our Division's mission:
As a Christ-centred learning community, we...
engage and challenge all learners,
model and form character,
know Christ and make Him known.
